The population of Qatar consists of approximately 11% of Filipino nationals. They work in various fields of the country. For the freshers who want to come to Qatar under a work visa, Overseas Employment Certificate, or OEC is an essential document for them. OEC is a document that proves you are a legal expatriate from the Philippines.
It is also called an exit pass as you can not leave the Philippines without it. You have to show the document to the international airport authority while leaving. It ensures that you are an Official Filipino Worker, and it allows you to travel without any travel tax. Here I am describing how to get oec in Qatar and other related useful information.
How To Get Oec In Qatar:
To get an OEC, first, you have to apply for a BM Online Appointment Printout. Here are the steps for applying-
How To Get BM Online Appointment Printout Or Oec Qatar Online:
Step 1: Visit the Banik Maggagawa Online Processing Website.
Step 2: If you didn’t register before, you need to open a new account on the website. Click on the New User section and create a new account providing your Name, Date of Birth, Email, and Password.
Step 3: Verify your email; in case you forget your password, you can get access to your account using your email.
Step 4: After your registration, go to the webpage and click on Already Registered User and log in using your user name and password.
Step 5: In the next page, you will have to provide your Name, Passport Number, National ID details, Parents’ information, Legal beneficiaries and your photo.
Step 6: After providing all information, Click on Acquire OEC on the top right side of the page.
Step 7: Then, you have to type your expected flight schedule. Please read all the reminders on the page. It reminds you that your passport should be valid for at least six months. Another reminder is you have to depart within 60 days from your OEC issuance.
Step 8: Now select the location of your travel.
Step 9: In the next page, you will have to choose a time slot in a calendar screen. Then your schedule details will be shown, including Date, Time, Branch and Address. Check the information carefully before proceeding.
Step 10: Now click on Print Application in the top right of the page to print the document.
Oec Requirements:
There are some documents and requirements you need to meet before going to the appointment. They are-
- BM Online Appointment Printout.
- Original Employment Contact attested
- Qatar Identity Card (QID)
- Passport
- Your sponsors QID copy
POLO OWWA procedures:
Step 1: Go to the reception area and provide your original passport to the receptionist lady. She will give you a form to fill up. Carefully fill the form with the necessary information.
Step 2: Now go to the contract verification room and get a serial number. When your turn comes, give them your Prepare Contract, Passport and QID and pay the fees.
Step 3: Go to the second floor and fill the form of OWWA membership. Pay the fees and submit the form.
Step 4: Go to reception again and get the OEC application. Pay the OEC fees.
Step 5: Now go to SSS/Pag-big office, where they will give you a Pag-ibig verification form. You have to pay QAR 30 for a 3-month premium membership and QAR 120 for a 12-month membership.
Step 6: If you entered Qatar using a tourist visa, family visa, or business visa, you will have to sign an affidavit and an OWF Information sheet.
Step 7: Pay QAR 40 for the verification, QAR 9 for OEC validation, and QAR 93 for OWWA membership valid for two years.
Step 8: POLO OWWA office hours are 9 AM to 12 PM and 1.30 PM to 4 PM, Sunday to Thursday.
